It’s the time of year for Christmas cookie baking, cookie exchanges, bake sales and LOTS of family gatherings.
There’s an abundance of sweet treats, sugar, lots and lots of sugar, and unhealthy processed ingredients included in your favorite holiday recipes.
Just look at any traditional cookie recipe and you’ll see ingredients such as, all-purpose flour, some sort of sugar, butter and candy pieces. Not to mention the added toppings like sprinkles, icing, powdered sugar, etc.
Not exactly the kind of food you want to eat if you are trying to stay on track with your healthy lifestyle.
There is absolutely a way to enjoy this cookie season with some seriously delicious and healthy recipes that won’t cause you to veer off track too much!
If you are doing some baking this holiday season for yourself or others, be sure to try a few of these healthier recipes! They are so delicious your guests won’t even realize they are healthy – that’ll just be an added bonus!
